OPHRYS ARANEOLA subsp. VIRESCENS

(Philippe ex. Gren.) Kreutz

Last updated 15/02/2011

I found these small-flowering plants in meadows in the vicinity of Piobbico in 2010. Flowering in May, they are decidedly later than O. sphegodes in the same area. Moreover, labellum measures well-under 10 x 10 mm and sepals are often tinged with red.
