				Very rare plant; endemic
for Sicily and the south of Italy, where it has been recorded
for the provinces Potenza, Salerno, Isernia, Latina, Foggia.

				The two plants depicted here
were photographed a few miles north of Monte Sant'Angelo on the
Gargano (FG) in May 1991. They grew in dry, grassy and stony places with
Ophrys tenthredinifera, Neotinea (Orchis) tridentata and
Serapias parviflora. Only these two small specimens could be found
				at this site.
